What is it?
We have chosen the name Whanaunga Āwhina as we believe it better describes the purpose of the feature, which is to work with a 'connected group', often a family. In contrast, whānau is more generic in meaning.
For the Whanaunga Āwhina feature, we have built on our previous Whānau feature by reworking and improving its flexible session note-taking experience. We then enhanced it with document storage, key workers, tags, and tracking forms for managing workflows such as outbound referrals and team pathways.
Documents
You can now upload documents to whanaunga āwhina that are secured through our Team Access Controls system to ensure workers see the documents that are appropriate for them.
Key workers
Workers have to manage their case loads and working with whanaunga āwhina is no different. Adding a key worker relationship connects a worker and their team to a whanaunga āwhina.
Tags
The client tags feature has now been extended to whanaunga āwhina. Tags are now shared so existing tags can now also be used for whanaunga āwhina.
Tracking custom data
The same custom forms used for key workflows on clients can now also be tracked against whanaunga āwhina. This includes capturing standardised referrals and pathways information for reporting within our Data Discovery tools as well as bespoke forms created for the needs of your organisation.
