Resetting Noted ID Multi-Factor Authentication

Getting access to Noted while having authentication app issues

Updated today

Noted requires Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to ensure only you can access your organisation data. In the event of experiencing issues with MFA and authentication apps you can do the following:

Temporarily not having authentication app access

Situations where access to your authenticator app is only temporarily lost, such as if your phone was left at home:

  • The easiest solution is to login using recovery codes

  • If no recovery codes available a replacement authenticator app is required

  • Only one authenticator app can be setup at once so when a new authenticator app is setup the previous authenticator app will stop working

Permanent loss of access to authenticator app

Situations where access to the authenticator app is permanent such as a lost phone or removal of the authenticator app then resetting MFA is required (see below)

Requesting an MFA reset

We ask that you make the request personally via the email address associated with your Noted ID. We therefore cannot accept requests on someone's behalf. This is for security and to ensure that you are aware and approve of the change. We apologise for the added inconvenience but believe it is essential for the safety of sensitive client data.

πŸ” Security like a bank: We like to think of the security of client data like a bank - Someone else shouldn't be able to ask the bank to change your account on your behalf
