What is it?
Organisations can choose to configure the length of time Noted can be left open and idle before they are redirected back to the login screen and have to login again.
By default the session time can be set between 20 and 120 minutes to suit the length of time your organisation deems acceptable
While actively using Noted users are not affected by the timeout and will not be logged out.
The timeout only affects open and idle Noted browser tabs. If a tab is closed and not logged out then it is resumable for a period of time afterwards.
For shared devices it is recommended that users use the "Log out" menu item to ensure their session is ended.
Extending the current session
When approaching the timeout a message will appear warning that the session will shortly be coming to an end with the ability to extend it if required.
Setting the session timeout
Organisation administrators can set the User session timeout within the Administration Organisation Security screen.
