What is it?

Organisations using Noted IDs to access Noted can choose to configure the lifetime of a user's session via their session timeout. This is the period of time that a Noted user can leave their device idle before they are redirected back to the login screen and have to login again.

By default the session time is set to 20 minutes but can be extended up to 2 hours for when this is not enough and users find themselves having to frequently log back in.

When actively using Noted users are not affected by the timeout and will not be logged out.

Extending the current session

When approaching the timeout a message will appear warning that the session will shortly be coming to an end with the ability to extend it if required.

Setting the session timeout

Organisation administrators can set the Session timeout within the Organisation details screen.
